Installation of progs on windows vista

  Need some help here.. not too sure if this qn has been posted before though.. how do I go about installing features and progs that are not compatible with windows vista..? Is there another way around this? Not too sure about it as the lappy's new and came installed with the new OS.. many thanks in adv

  you can't go around. when it's not compatible, the os would simply prevent the installation of progs which require you to run it on win xp or below.
  
  better go d/g the os back to xp home/pro. much more user-friendly with not so many big negative hoo-has about vista.

  You can try though... at the most when you run it, run it in compatibility mode.
  
  If the installation doesn't start, it means it's incompatible.

  hell!. bought 2 sets of DXXX brand computer come with Vista. all existing program not compatible. sent the com back and ordered 2 sets with XP. pay more coz XP is a seperate package if don't want to use Vista and the transport cost to return the Vista set.

  You can try to install it ..
  
  I tried installing Lavasoft Pro ... work with Vista ..
  
  I suggest you : Buy a pirated WinXP and install it to your lappy wait till Vista is stable then reinstall Vista back
