  Please check ur laptop whether can slot for u to upgrade.
  Normally, laptop got only two ram slot.
  Check ur laptop specification, what is ur highest ram max.
  Is it DDR or DDR 2?
  What Hz??
  Dont look for cheap ram first.
  Check ur internal spec first and decide the shop later..

  your laptop is very old as u said. afraid that it isn'tusing a SODIMM 200 pin ram. better u go down sim lim with your lappy
