bittorrent - send file to frd

  anyone tried to send file to frd using bittorrent ?
  can teach me how ?
  
  i tried, and wat i did was :
  1. my file is about 500Mb, i created the torrent file using bitcomet, then point the source to that 500mb file.
  
  2. then bitcomet create that file for me, and at the same time, it open the bitcomet and put that file in bitcomet, showing 100% downloaded.
  
  3. i send my frd the torrent file i create, ask him to double click and its start connecting...
  
  the problem is, its keep on connecting and the file does not start download even if we waited like 4 or 5 hrs...
  
  DId i missed anything ???? i dun wanna send through msn ler, because if one side cutoff, then we need to start all over again ~
  
  any help ?
