Cannot Update Local Timezone

  Hey my computer desktop can't automatically update time to local time.
  And there's error updating it.I've ticked automaticall synchronize with an Internet time server which server is time.windows.com.
  "An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com. The time sample was rejected because: The peer's stratum is less than the host's stratum." Anyone can help?Mayi?Thanks.

  Is this service turned on?
  
  Start > Run and type in services.msc
  
  Scroll all the way down and locate Windows Time
  
  Double click on it. Make sure the Service status is started.

  Double click on the time.
  
  Select the Time Zone tab. Make sure the time zone is Kuala Lumpur, Singapore.
  
  I have no idea why you guys need to synchronize time. Are you in another country?

  No idea. Try changing the time manually.
  
  If it doesn't work, use another server. It's nist.gov

  All go and update Windows. There are some changes with US laws that may directly affect us, since we are using the US version of XP.

  my com is fully patch by installing all the update from microsoft update but still got error when trying to update the time?

  Double click on the time.
  
  Select Internet Time tab.
  
  Untick this box: Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server.
  
  Click OK to apply the settings.
  
  Then try changing your time.

  TS. Did you install some software which provides a calendar option or alarm notification option within the software? These are common causes of interferences with the time synchronization. Try uninstalling the program or disable the options, then try to synchronize again. Hope it works. Cheers.

  Usually freebies that you downloaded from the internet, such as wallpapers. Possibilities are endless.
  
  Think of this. When did the problem occur? What did you downloaded shortly before the problem?

  ust tried updating and found that i've the same problem also.. but previously i was able to update so i think itst both the server problem
