Help! Chinese programs shows strange symbols

  when i install some chinese programs.... i would get strange symbols such as ????^%#&,
  
  how do i make the chinese text viewable?

  viewable as like? in? IE or where?

  Your game might require the OS to be in chinese traditional or simplified.
  
  goto regional and language options under control panel
  
  then under BOTH regional options and advanced switch between chinese (prc) and chinese (taiwan) to see which one solve the problem.
  
  not sure if it'll certainly work, but it's worth a try.
