IMVU is the world's greatest 3D instant messenger! IMVU allows you to chat using a character called an avatar in 3D scenes. There are three great ways to chat using IMVU: (1) IM your friends by clicking 'New IM' or clicking on your Buddy's name in the Buddies window; (2) Click 'Chat Now!' to be paired up with someone from around the world! (3) You can also IM from the Who's Online window where you can see folks' snapshot. name, age, M/F and popularity.
Typing into a 3D window makes chat bubbles appear over your avatar's head. These chat bubbles automatically resize based on how much you type. You can click on a balloon to copy (ctrl+C) the text and then paste (ctrl+V) to add text to a bubble. You can even paste in clickable URLs. Also, by clicking on a bubble, you can drag it down to reveal your chat history.
