Differences of a inkjet printer and laser printer?

I've heard the the speed of which they print are not much of a difference.
Putting aside that inkjets can print better quality photos, what else is there? -
laser printer ar.. They printer like a machine gun set to auto

inkjet use ink cartridges
laser use toners (cream or powder)
toners are more expensive
quality depends on wat brand of inkjet or laser printer
a hp inkjet can win a samsung laser printer
a xerox laser printer wins hp inkjet -
Light is always fast. I have no inkling why inkjet speeds are just as good as lasers.

Well, I'm using Fuji Xerox C525A and it's working better than my previous inkjet printers. Paid $699 for this set which came with duplex unit during COMEX '06.
