How to Identify?

hmm a problem of mine...l dun not dare to go into any sites for browsing until l am sure that it is a clean site. And thus..l only visited several sites in the internet
Any ideas on how to recognise which site has virus or not ah?
my frenz told me u hav to see the address...if address is neat and short...means no virus...address is long and messy...means possibly got virus..l dun noe how true it is

as long you don't visit those xxx website, you should be safe, don't anyhow download file,
if you have firewall, you should be at least safe -
comes with experience.
normally i don't dare enter china websites. -
NOD32 AV always takes care of that for me.

Trend micro's PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 has a web site filter function...can block potentially dangerous contents and websites based on ur settings and updated " safe " list.
I find it useful.
There is a trial version available.

Most antivirus programs can block almost everything leh. Relax and surf lah. Remember to regularly update any patches and updates will do.
By the way, avoid those beginning trial freeware. They got so many bugs, it's better not to install in the first place. -
mcafee siteadvisor
its free, it also tells u which site will spam ur email if u enter thrm -
McAfee Site Advisor or Firetrust Sitehound.
Go Google them.
Websites that have short names doesn't mean no virus. And avoid websites that starts with: http://IP address/.
Example: http://64.22.86.75/
Although the example is legit (sgF IP address), you don't know for others. -
