  how come their dual core so cheap?
  
  P4 -3.40 (D.Core +800+4mb) - $509
  
  inc. mobo, 256mb dd2, 120gb harddrive, casing, etc.
  
  its older model or what?
  
  if compare to P4 660 3.6G, which one is more worth while?

  haha is it okay to open 2 threads on this?
  anyway i dun think it is worth the trouble to go for p4 anymore
  if on budget, go for am2 x2
  powerful and capable of matching low end intel core 2 duo w/o OCing
  go hwz got plenty of suggestions there

  er haha actually am2 refers to the socket size lah
  so technically it is amd am2 athlon 64x2 4600+
  bell and fuwell will be fine, think m2npv-vm bundle is great coz it has integrated graphics as well

  yes this combination is fine.But this motherboard, as with other AM2, is very picky about RAM.So make sure you only get those RAM on the qualified vendor list, otherwise you may run into alot of problems

  mmmm i did a search on the web and saw the ram problems as highlighted by orientlight but i noticed as well those post were quite a few months old
  this mb + proc combo was highly recommended at hwz and i haven yet seen any posts that brought up the picky ram issue so i assumed that it was corrected in some later bio revision
  
  in any case, u shld consult the vendor for more information, think the board isnt obscure, they shld know what works and nots
