how to scan and remove keyloggers/spyware..

  hi guys, i using spybot to scan for spyware.. but will it remove keyloggers as well?
  
  and is there any other freeware better then spybot?
  
  oh. and by the way, how come my history keep deleting itself? i set it to 20days.. but everyday when i login to web, all my history is gone..

  I advise you not to use Spybot. It can lead to computer crashes or instability, unless you know what are all those files that it captured. Excessive deleting of those files is by far the primary culprit of some system crashes done by this software.
  
  I suggest you to look for some other software, like Lavasoft Adaware. They provide sufficient protection for the average user.
  
  Most antivirus with anti-spyware anti-adware will take care of keyloggers as well.

  Spybot S&D isn't unstable, it's the real-time feature that is unstable. It has been known to cause crashes for the real-time feature.
  
  Spybot S&D can remove keyloggers, but not all. Most of the common ones will be removed.
  
  Lavasoft Ad-Aware, SUPERAntispyware and AVG Antispyware are the few good ones around.

  nope.. i set 20days in my IE... but now it will clear my history automatically..

  i using spyware terminator now.....got real time protection, it's stable but will cause your browser to lag a bit....got clam av built in it too...
