Blue Screen of Death on shutdown

I've been getting 2 types stop errors when I try to shutdown my Toshiba laptop... I either get "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" or "PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA"
Can someone please help me?? -

This part is important.
Based on your errors, it's hardware or drivers errors.
Have you installed any new hardware?
Have you update any your old hardware drivers?
Have you installed any antivirus? -
I just used the recovery cd to reformat and reinstall Windows XP and haven't installed any new hardware.
the only anti virus I installed lately was AVG.. but I've AVG on other PCs but they don't have this problem..
I might have gotten rid of page faults by clearing page file on shutdowns, but I still get IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL BSODs... -
It could be AVG.
Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Locate AVG Antivirus and uninstall it.
Shutdown the PC. Wait for a while then start it up.
Then shut it down again to see if you have the errors. -
I uninstalled AVG already.. It's still the same..

Try updating Windows, there might be some incompatible drivers.

I have all the latest updates. Even genuine advantage.. lol.
I plugged in a portable hard disk lately. Could that be anything? new hardware.. -

Nope, I don't think so.
I think you do need check for viruses as MrSotong has said.
Haxdoor uses drivers, and the drivers might be buggy enough to produce blue screens. -

He's able to use the XP Recovery CD, that means the system is rather new.
I do believe either a virus or that darn USB device could be the fault.
But as we have no other details, any guess is just as good. -
I tried to follow the instructions to remove HaxDoor, but I couldn't find any registry keys that they told me to remove..
I've been looking around google for a while too.. and can't seem to find any real solution to my problem. -
Hmmm if I were him I would just reinstall Winxp again
Hayo my suggestion : Go and download a leak RTM version of vista and try to play with it
Since crackers and MS are having wars , MS may just gif a free license if you support them , Impossible ^_^
Reinstall Windows is the best solution btw I also got a question regarding my ancient computer [Lazy to post , maybe tomorrow ^_^ ]

since my exception add is something like 0x804...

ntoskrnl.exe is a critical process in the boot-up cycle of your computer although should never appear in WinTasks whilst under normal circumstances
Note: ntoskrnl.exe can be altered by the w32.bolzano and variants. If this process appears in WinTasks, please update your virus definitions immediately!!!!!

Did you face any problems during the XP reinstallation?
