  i can take screen shots in Window Media Playing using print screen
  
  but the output when i paste in paint is BMP format
  when i try to reduce file size by changing it to jpg format
  it become blank file

  to take screenshots of videos the media player u use must have tt feature
  example of such players are BS player, VLC etc
