Defragmenter

  Hi all, I just tried defragmenting my computer. Even though after doing it, whenever I analyse it again, it still tells me that I should defrag it again. Why is that so? Does that mean I have to keep doing it until it advices me that I don't have to defrag it?
  
  Cos' it just took a really short while to complete the defragment.
  
  And what does it do actually? Speed up my computer?

  Err... defrag will take a few hours.
  
  Click on Defrag rather than on Analyze. Analyze just need a few minutes.

  Sometimes got bad sectors, you can defrag it 999 times, and it'll still ask you to defrag.

  Yea... I know that but the first time I defrag it's already less then an hour. Any idea why?

  You should turn off screensavers, shut down your torrent d/ls, and not do anything with your comp while you defrag, otherwise you pretty much screwed yourself.

  You must pretty much try to shut down every running process before defrag except the critical ones. Just think of it like safe mode.

  then can defrag run in safe mode by choosing safe mode at F8?

  yes, just defrag using safe mode.

  actually dun defrag is the best
  
  the last time i defrag, den i analyse again it like not good
  so i immediately defrag the 2nd time
  
  and after that my pc crash

  hmm? Are you using any other application which is HDD usage intensive?
  
  I defrag 3 times also no crash. After that, it was kept on for 1week then i restart. No prob.

  my defrag is working fine, even though it say not recommended to do so, i still defrag every week
  
  What i did every SAT:
  scan for virus
  scan for spyware
  defrag
  clean regedit
  clean internal motherboard, wires, fan, graphic card, make sure not too much dust
  
  can tell me wad else show i dO?

  Hmm... any screensavers or programs running?
