Hmm just manual delete using msconfig and HijackThis?Originally posted by redpicanto:Need to delete this two :
C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\AdvTools\NPROTECT.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe
Yahoo toolbar = No using, uninstall lah
Matlab + Firefox = Check your memory. Maybe not enough.
P/S: Pls remove those software which does not required to start at startup. Too many program running at startup takes up too many memory and time.
If you find no use for the Yahoo! toolbar, just uninstall it. Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.Originally posted by deathscythe99:How about the yahoo toolbar thingy etc?
And my Windows Explorer crashes if I load Matlab + Firefox together
Yes, delete the Yahoo! toolbar folder in C:\Program FilesOriginally posted by deathscythe99:Hmm just manual delete using msconfig and HijackThis?
Yahoo Toolbar was uninstalled. Remnants remain in my C:\Program Files\
Would you suggest a manual delete as well?
Yea...how to stop Matlab from residing in memory on startup?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:If you find no use for the Yahoo! toolbar, just uninstall it. Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
Matlab is quite memory intensive, the same goes for Firefox. Don't open the two together... you will kill the PC.
Untick the Matlab box in msconfig startup tab...Originally posted by deathscythe99:Yea...how to stop Matlab from residing in memory on startup?
This is because the matlabserver will reside itself on startup in my msconfig settings. I went to the Matlab program itself but cannot find any option to disable it...
