My .mid file can play but no sound?

  I wonder how come suddenly lidat
  
  my cpu sound is ok
  mp3 wma files are ok
  
  but when i play .mid files (midi) , it open up my window media player and though its playing, but there is no sound
  
  and i try VLC, REAL MEDIA player also cannot play, all no sound
  ???

  Try pressing F1 for help, If cannot find, Use the manual..

  ok, it can be played with quicktime player, but how come window media player got no sound

  Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control
  
  Optional step if you don't have the MIDI column
  
  Click on Options > Properties
  
  Under Show the following controls, tick this box: MIDI
  
  Click OK
  
  Now look at your MIDI column. Drag the slider bar all the way up.
  
  Make sure Wave and Play Control columns sliders are not right at the bottom.

  SW Synth
  CD Audio
  Microphone
  PC Speaker
  
  and all are tick

  No volume control for MIDI interface?
  
  Reinstall soundcard driver lor... or update your driver with the lastest available online.

  driver problem.reinstall driver.
