printing problem

  I'm using the Epson Stylus C41UX and I've realised that the fonts in the document I printed isn't as fine and nice as those which I've photocopied. Is it just my printer or any problem to it?

  Before that, have u check ur printer still got ink?? And is the printer the power switch got on and got connected to ur computer??

  Ya. It could print perfectly without any problems, just that the fonts are quite thick as compared to those photocopied.

  Nope. My school requires us to print our own notes from the school website. I just print from there directly.

  I assumed you din refer to your instruction manual.
  
  The quality of the printing largely depends on the paper you used and the printing settings via your comp. If you are using photocopy paper, forget abt using fine printing cos it will literally smeared and the fonts/images will looked blotchy.
  
  Use the Epson genuine paper like Bright White Ink Jet Paper A4 or Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper A4 if you want sharp and really colourful printouts. Else, use photocopy papers for everyday usage wif 'normal' settings. I dun use this printer so I can't exactly tell u which setting is that.

  is it A4 size?? If not, change to A4 size and try print... And maybe u could try to change the size of the fonts..

  If it's not so nice, it might be misaligned. You have to open up the printer and re-align the printer cartridges.
  
  As for the thickness of the font, does it look like if it's bolded or something else?
  
  If it's bold font that shows, the cartridge is releasing too much ink.

  How do I control the amount of ink the cartridge should released?

  If u installed the printer drivers and such from the accompanied CD... it should show up via the application u are in. For Mac is under "Page Setup" or when send to "Print"... then look for the options that says Printing settings. Nt sure abt ya PC side tho.

  This I don't know. It might be a faulty cartridge that releases too much ink. Or it might new, thus ink flow control is bad. You have to use it a few times to stabilize it.

  Refilled Ink, but it's the original, not counterfeit one.

  Again, did you use the right paper for the respective printing mode? U'll get lousy print if u select fine print wif photocopy paper.
  
  If u use quality paper and still looked blochy, use the Epson printer Utility and clean the printer head.
