Invalid cd key msg at login screen

  my fren had a msg saying invalid cd key msg on the login screen, she wans to remove it ani idea how? it appeared after installing SP1. using XP

  New pc. the msg appear when the login screen appear. i didnt help her install the os n SP1 so i dont noe wat her other fren do

  go check with yuor friend whether he install pirated version of XP or not.. cos last time my friend also like that... the USB mouse was "locked" cos intel motherboard detect blacklisted CDkey

  its pirated but everything is working ok no locking of antihing jus the msg which is irritating

  The system went auto update lo~
  
  So it detect that its pirated. Still can use, but will have annoying msg that prompt you that your system "might" be pirated.

  i dun think there's a way to get rid of it le..
  
  but the next time u format pls take note of the following..
  
  after formating go control panel and set the auto update to notify me bfore download..
  
  microsoft's stand on pirated XP is this: it iwll now allow you to do the update urself.. it will push the update to ur computer..
  
  but they are smart. they have a authentic XP verifier.. and it always pushes it to the update.
  
  so to avoid the lockdown, never download or install this update.. always look at the list of updates when it's being pushed.. and unchk the authentic XP tool.. the rest can just update as per normal.
  
  last but not least. to save ALL the trouble, go original!
