Connecting a switch, modem and 2computers

I need internet access for 2 computers simultaneously, so I bought a switch and here i am, confused over what to do.
I have a LinkSys SD205.
Any suggestions on what i can do? I have tried just connecting them together but i failed. -

u bought wrongly.... switch is to switch connection between computers.

wait, do u hav a modem on either computer?
use ad-hoc lo by using a switch to connect one of ur computer to another which has internet access if u are really desperate.
otherwise, fork out a bit of money to get urself a wired or wireless router which is better and save u more trouble. -
the internet connection is hard, I tried it...hmm thanks for the heads-up, i will get rid of it asap
