Database on FTP servers.

  I need to engage someone who can create a MS Access database and put on FTP servers.
  
  I have a basic access database and I need further works on it.
  Then I need this to be place on FTP servers so that I can get my clients or suppliers to put in the information via the web.
  
  It is relatively a small job and I believe this can be done on short term.
  The company is willing to pay for the this service but now it is just about getting the person with the "Know How".
  
  Or is there any recommendation of any company who can do this job?

  FTP servers?
  
  Shouldnt you be getting a web hosting service that provides database access instead ? (eg. MYSQL) And using things like PHP/ASP/Java in your webpage to link up to your database.
  
  ftp server is more for online file storage...

  this is quite a tough job...i mean
  you gotta let someone download the database, modify it, and then upload back to server, yet restricting access to the database, so not every tom dick harry can change it. hmm...

  That would be like PHP. Heard of Content management systems? CMS. The software is out there opensource. The setting up is a little hectic.

  TS said web-based application liao...still need to download database for what?

  in this case...this has nothing to do with FTP server
  
  you just need to get a web hosting service that provides database access like what i mentioned in my first post.

  And a web software CMS to update online instead of directly going to the database and change. It's kind of complex, server side web programming.
