New virus from packetnews.com

A new virus is identified from www.packetnews.com. Do not visit/ search from the site!
Let's call it Packetnews Virus, it just came out this week. I just discover it, it was not present a few days back.
It installs generic Tojan Horse which spreads itself in your computer immediately. It performs the following:
1.Installs programs and exe files
2.Install dll files
3.Automatically edits registry
4.Disable background wallpaper permanently
5.Deactivate firewall permanently
6.Permanently disable internet connection though connected
7.Configures services to high mode to slow down computer
8.Unable to delete or stop such services as they are configured to be marked as critical system services
9. Disable soundcard hardware by renaming it in registry
Destruction power: 9/10
Only cure is to reinstall windows, similar to the Seriall Virus. -

Of all kinds of sites, you visit this kind of site. And erm... doesn't have much effect on Firefox.
If you are using IE7, good luck.
IE6... not sure. I don't want to die. -

I am not sure but I think they are working to remove the trojan or something. -
The difference is, IE allows drive-bys, there's no such thing as drive-bys in Firefox. For Firefox, the attacker will have to be cleverer...
If you are curious, go Google Gromozon... it's a type of malware that works exactly like this virus. -

Anyway, I'm not going to risk my system by doing this again. Once is enough.
