Desktop Memo application

  hi all,
  
  i find that since i'm looking at the computer screen most of the time everyday, i'm looking for a free (no need to register, no 30 day trial etc) desktop memo application in which i can write notes reminding myself to do things.
  
  ideally it will pop up at desktop everytime i switch on the computer and is able to be miminized to system tray.
  
  is there such software out there? any recommendations?

  cute yellow sticky notes on ur desktop
  u can choose to hide them....
  good for jotting down notes on the spot, writing memo and can set alarm to remind u of event or to-do

  see below. the note is great but the only problem is that if u have a "show desktop" at your taskbar and u click it, the note will be automatically miminised. i would have preferred it to forever stick to the desktop unless i choose to miminise it myself.
