From your errors, it doesn't look like you are using a proxy.Originally posted by OoohLaLa:im using starhub maxonline as stated. and i dont know wat is proxy, so i assume i dont have
this still doesnt fix the speed and connection timeouts.. any other suggestions?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:From your errors, it doesn't look like you are using a proxy.
From the Speedtest website, it looks more like you are on dial-up.
Slow torrents, please see manyu's post in the sticky, either Page 1 or 2 for the tweaks...
I also see that you have both wired and wireless connections... disable the wired connections... Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Right click on Local Area Connection (the one with 2 monitors) and select Disable...
You might want to use a proxy...Originally posted by OoohLaLa:this still doesnt fix the speed and connection timeouts.. any other suggestions?
Just enter the proxy given to you...Originally posted by OoohLaLa:can u teach in-depth on how to use proxy?
Remove Norton totally.Originally posted by OoohLaLa:I FOUND OUT SOMETHING
hope u guys can help
the problem only occurs if i disable CCApp.exe (Norton) from starup
i did that because i installed Zonealarm which would conflict. but it doesnt seem to work
i then tried restore ccapp.exe to startup, the port problem stopped.
and when i disabled it again, it started again.
so my question is:
if i totally remove norton, will the problem exist?
or is there another way out?
