Hey people i'e got a slight problem with my wmp 11 running on vista. Everytime idouble click on a song or video to play, it takes a good 20secs for the song to actually play, and it continues on down my playlist. The bottom writes "media changing", but my files are all in mp3 format. Any same encounters with this? All tips and solutions would be much appreciated too.

Lesson 1- Never install vista, it slows down your com
Lesson 2- Never use WMP v10 onwards, they use rootkits for DRM. They connect to the net automatically and download 'updates' to your com automatically. Also WMP tries to retreive info of songs from the net.
Microsoft creates Vista because they just want to make more money. -
WMP 10 doesn't use rootkit-like technology. It's Sony BMG that does that.
WMP 11 is rumoured to use rootkit-like technology for DRM, but there are no news, so it's wrong to say so. -

Is it so hard to ditch WMP for iTunes?

Media Player Classic lor... WMP clone if you can't get used to other players.
The best will be VLC or MPlayer...
