hi there! i am using a 5 yr old Acer Aspire ELD computer.. the prob is, the hard disk is only a 20gb one, and it is not enough for storing my files. the harddisk inside my com is a 5400rpm IDE one.. if i were to buy a 7200rpm IDE one from the upcoming PC show, will it fit into my com? will it cause any problems to my com? thx in advance...

Nope, but please remember to slave it. See the stickers on the hard disk on setting the hard disk to slave mode.

I am running a 200GB 7200rpm HDD also in an Acer Aspire ELD. -
oic... thanks guys... btw , i saw in hardwarezone, there is some specifications about harddisk, which have a 2MB and a 8MB one.. wads the difference? prob is, i dont know wad MB is mine leh... does this matters? or both MB can fit into mine?

Its most probably the buffer size you are talking about. Just to put it in layman's terms, the bigger it is the better =) And yes they will work in your computer.
Also it will be good to take note how you connect them up.
I would suggest connecting the new one as master and only one for one IDE slot and on the other connect the 20gb as slave and cdrom/dvd drive as the master on the other ide slot. If you don't understand what I'm saying then its better to do some research on the net about master and slave settings

Don't think it will cause a problem... Just install the hard disk as a 2nd hard disk in your pc lor...
