Saving in Thumbdrive

Just now I tried to copy a folder from my hdd to my thumbdrive
after 'copy this folder'
i found the folder in the thumbdrive
but when i opened it
it was empty
i tried a few times
still the same
in the end i had to open each file individually in the folder in my hdd
and save them one by one to the folder in the thumbdrive
why couldn't I copy the folder one shot as a whole???

it is 2 gb
used space is 1gb
still got 1 gb free space left -
then the most probable thing is the folder permission...otherwise i oso not sure le..

I don't think any OS ever allows you to save a folder. They only allow you to copy/cut and paste a folder.

Might be some permissions issue as R3SsH|n suggested. -
u can go in, press Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C, then paste inside the folder of the thumbdrive.

Hmm... Did you only copy the folder name???
Anyway, you just drag and drop will do... Never experience any problem doing so in the past... -

drag from the D drive folder to the F drive.
just left click and hold and drag to F. -
