windows not detecting my harddisk!

  help!
  
  i just bought a 320GB IDE harddisk. I have a 80 GB harddisk as master so i put the new one as slave. my bios correctly detected it as "primary slave", my device manager detected it too.. but the only thing is under "my computer", i cant find it.
  
  anyone knows whats the problem?
  
  using win XP pro

  go disk management to see it.

  lol thanks for the advice from u guys.. just found out what happened.. i went to the disk management to set a name for it and now its fine. thanks again.

  the 'missing' disk space are used to store information of the disk.

  22GB worth of data? It's too huge...
  
  I can't exactly remember what caused it, it's a hardware limitation.
