Vaio owners, need help!!

Hmm so i bought me this vaio SZ433 at the PC show today..
However, i have a few issues.. Im a new laptop owner, so pardon me..
1) The screen flashes once immediately after windows starts, like some sort of graphic card poblem, is this normal? It never happens after the initial flash.
2) The paper specs are that it is 100GB HDD, but i see the control panel there only got 86GB total in my C drive. There are no other drives visible. How come? -
I cannot answer the latter.
For the first he question,yes,my laptop flicker once during startup or after standup mode.
pls la,u have too much time to bother with such minor issue meh. -

if i m not wrong.. ur OS is taking up spaces in ur HDD.. so u are only left with 86GB -
1st check with other sony vaio users. or call them
2nd 100gb = 100 x 10^9bytes u can even check then the total number in bytes
as for recover hdd due to system crush, etc. there will be hidden parition which take up some gb also... -
Heya, I m a vaio user, and i can tell you that 86Gb is Absloutely common, cause when i got mine, i have 2 partitioned drives and one has 40/40Gb and the other 20gb/40gb
this is due to the tons of software they give la, the vaio media, vaio tool bar, photoshop premier elements ect
for the other, if once then ok la
my poor touch pad can't work -

the fault with the touch pad is common amomng the sz43.
Sometimes i can't move the cusor on my pad-i have to hit he pad twice and fast to "wake" it.
the keyboard is also not friendly.
at times,the blinking bar will dissappear while i'm typing.
gets iritating/ -
