adobe cannot select scanned text

  adobe cannot select scanned text
  
  these 2 are EXACTLY the same document. this document is scanned from a book.
  
  on my home computer, i am able to select the text properly but at my office computer i cannot select. both are adobe version 7
  
  what is wrong with my office computer version of adobe? why it cannot select scanned text?
  i tired using papercapture plugin but it need "adobe acrobat" ( not adobe reader) 5.0

  I don't know how Adobe is able to select scanned texts?
  
  Try using the Snapshot tool.
