Scam targetting Christians

Before I continue, I want to make this clear:
This is in no way insulting any religion. This will only serve as information - only to inform of the scam. I do recognize that people will be uncomfortable with it, so if you are, please shoot me a PM and I will delete the thread on request. Christians or non-Christians alike.

This scam, as per usual, arrives in your email inbox.
Here's a copy of the email, there may be other variants:HELLO
I am Rev James Peter,an Executor of the Will of Late Benson, he stipulated in his will that some certain amount of money should be given to some churches and Christians who have shown their zeal and will for the propagation of the Gospel. As an executor of the Will, I have conducted a search and made money available to those listed in the will, but up till now about 20 of them have not come up to collect their funds either they are dead or cannot be traced till this day. I am contacting you to stand as one of the beneficiaries so that the funds that have not be claimed, can be paid to you and then, I will come over for sharing, the total amount is $15,000,000.

No. He can't possibly transfer any money out without your permission, unless you explicitly grant it (for example, giving him your password to your online bank account).
You will call or email the person (in this case is call).
You will give him your account number and some other details. He promises to contact you again (which he does).
He asks you to transfer some money to his money and gives you his bank account number. The amount varies, anything from thousands to tens and even hundreds of thousands.
Once transferred, he promised you that you will receive the money in a few days and ask you to check.
But you will never receive the money.
For lucky ones, at the most you lose a few thousands. Those unlucky ones may have their bank account wipe out, especially if you really give out the password to the online bank account.
Those involve in calling (like in this case), may find yourself paying not just the transfer money, but also international call fees, which is sometimes a lot. -

Facing possible online scams:
1) Nv give any important or sensitive personal details.
2) Never give out passwords or money.
With these 2 things in mind, you can just play around with the possible scam emails u got. Reply and see what they want. And who knows, maybe you will get lucky and run into a genuine offer. However, never get too greedy, just trade it like a game you play online. -

Alot of people might say its common sense not to give them money, account number etc
But a lot of people are still gullible
Thats why Nigerian scams are still raging now -
report them to international Police
need to trace these monkey out.
I did that to some Nigi before, trace them till KL, get them up lorry. -
I believe most, if not all ppl suspects the offer at first. Its the skills of the spammers that did the trick. Languages, websites, names, etc, just to make the whole thing look and sound realistic. I remember once when I received this kinda email I corresponded with the guy for quite sometime. I "faked" myself as a very highly reputed Lawyer in Singapore and acted as if I own millions of dollars. As expected he asked me to transfer a mere "10k USD" to his account. But I insisted that he transfer 1k to my account first so I can trust him.
I never heard from him again. Damn. Next time I won't fail! These greedy people can be taken advantage of by using their own filthy greed. -
