Cant shutdown my pc (XP)

Oh dear, like the previous topic
after i click shutdown, i was taken to this blue page is usual where it says
Window is shutting down
and it just hang there
It happens after i download a windows update
I try to do a system restore but becoz my laptop cant shutdown, and i can oni manually shutdown by pressing and hold on the off button
the system restore is nt successful -
Windows might be installing the updates on shutting down... this is pretty common... check the shutdown message. Does it say anything about installing updates?

1.use CCleaner to uninstall the update which u suspect that cause the problem
2. go safe mode and system restore( the first msg when they prompt u in safe mode)
try either one -
it could be that the windows is still doing some last minute installation or updates before you shut down.

i check liao~ my internet light nt moving
later i try reboot in safe mode and system restore from there -
how long did you wait before you force shutdown?

Ok i try go into safe mode and choose system restore
den it says... cpu cannot be restored to an earlier time.
Mayi, should i use hajiack this and u analyse for me? -
Scan with antivirus and antispyware programs first...
