Hi, I'm looking for DVD disc. Those can burn things one. How much is one & what is its storage space? Got how many available in the market?

got different types, like DVD-R , DVD+R, DVD ram, DVD Dual Layer.
you need to check your DVD recorder can 'burn' which type
DVD-R and DVD+R more common, they stated 4.7GB, but actually you can only burn up to 4300MB only.
25 discs are usually around less than 20 dollars. -
Roxio can burn which type? Or is there any free burning program out there?

Ok.Mine's actually Roxio Easy Media Creator bundle when i bought fujitsu laptop.

what is the difference btw DVD-R and DVD+R?

A DVD+R is a once-writable optical disc with 4.7 GB (4.377 GiB) of storage capacity (more precisely, 2295104 sectors of 2048 bytes each). It has slightly less storage capacity than the DVD-R (4.382 GiB). The format was developed by a coalition of corporations, known as the DVD+RW Alliance, in mid 2002. Since the DVD+R format is a competing format to the DVD-R format, which is developed by the DVD Forum, it has not been approved by the DVD Forum, which claims that the DVD+R format is not an official DVD format.

My DVD drive is DVD + Rewriteable , DVD Multi Recorder and Compact disc rewritable. I just write what i see from the dvd drive.

If your DVD burner doesn't support Dual Layer, you can't burn Dual Layer DVDs...

Many programs out there can burn DVD discs... find out what formats is supported by your DVD player before burning. -

Think i just stick back to my Roxio.
Anyway, wanna check with you guys if i want mail 2 dvd disc overseas. Assume i sold it in ebay. Which shipping company is most recommended? Singpost? Fedex?
or any others? I just wanna find out the rates and time needed to reach the destination. -

Btw i heard that Speedpost, the local equivalent of EMS, really cmi. But price of Fedex might be prohibitive. -
it depends whether your drive is dvdr dvdrw or only dvd...

Wow.. U have never wandered into a popular bookstore or any pc shop before izzit?? U can check out the prices everywhere and anywhere these days.
DVDRs cost less then 50 cents for -no- brand ones..
DVDRWs cost about $2-4.
DVD Dual Layers cost about 7 to 8 dollars.
Mine is BenQ drive. It can burn any damn format out there~! Except DVD-RAMs I think =( But heck, I don't need DVD-RAMs anyway =)
And Mayi, there is nothing wrong in saying that about dual layer.. There is really another layer to record on.. Or u meant something else ah? -

And I'm not sure if DVD players have a burning function... most likely not, since it's called a player, mainly is to play it. -
