Hey all, I have a very simple network question.
How can I distribute my full network bandwidth to all the computers. As in, currently although I get about 30mbps to my router, since 4-5 computers are connected to the router, each gets a split bandwidth of only about 6000+mbps.
I do know that switches are able to provide full bws (bandwidth=bw) to all the ports unlike routers. But they are not able to distribute internet traffic if they are connected directly to the modem, correct?
So if I were to buy a switch and connect it in such a way (shown below) will it provide full bw to all computers?
SCV Socket ---> Modem ---> Router ---> Switch ---> All computers.
Of course at router to switch is just one to one connection. But will the bw be already split by router (just a normal linksys router)? I think so right? If it is then no point.

Or the only way is to buy Cisco all-in-one devices?

So expensive for home networks though...
How now brown cow?
