Computer shuts down after opening any exe file..

  any remedies?
  I just installed and uninstalled some dvd rip programs off download.com only and this happens.

  Those worms will shut down your PC regardless of whether you run any programs.
  
  You can try re-installing and uninstalling the program...

  Brontok is related to porn... don't divert... P2P viruses are another type, they steal passwords, they don't restart the machine as and when they like.
