Why is my D drive gone

  I was using my computer and suddenly my computer hangs
  
  i restarted my computer and everything is ok till i need to open up some files at my document and then i realised my D drive is gone
  
  Please advise.
  
  There many important documents at my D drive.

  Is this an external or internal?
  
  Also, is this a separate hard disk or is it another partition on the same hard disk?

  Its not partition. 2 different hard disk

  Is this an IDE hard disk?
  
  Can you try taking out the second one and reboot the PC?

  Just go to device manager and reinstall or enable it. Simple.
