Best resolution for monitors (and for games) ??

  hi all, im currently using samsung syncmaster 931bw, and en8500gt vga cards. when i set the resolution to max 1440 by 900, my warcraft3 seems to cos my whole com to hang completely.
  
  lower resolution, on the other hand made my desktop seems ugly..
  
  what resolution did u set urs to ? and are the games run stable-ly?

  my desktop resolution is 1440x900 oso, i got no problem with warcraft III and frozen throne
  maybe u try adjusting the resolution for warcraft III to suit ur desktop one? inside Options>Video
  and try lowering the quality
