Keyboard and Mouse Not Working

  I am having some problems with my mouse and keyboard. When I boot my PC, everything looks fine, and the light on the Num-lock on my keyboard is lighted up. I guess this means that it's working, But the moment it reaches the windows login screen, both the mouse and the keyboard do not work. (Both my mouse and keyboard are not USB.) Sometimes, I have to restart the PC a couple of times before they decided to work.
  
  Also, another problem is when I shut-down my PC, it sometimes restarts instead of shutting down completely. Are the two probelms related, because they appeared at the same time?

  Do you have a spare set of keyboard and mouse? Unplug this set and plug in this new set.
  
  See if the same happens.
  
  As for the other problem, can you please check that you select the Shut Down option instead of Restart option. Sometimes we press OK or Enter key too fast without taking a look at that screen.

  Yep. It happens for other sets of keyboards and mice as well. So I think that is not the problem.
  
  And yes, I clicked the shutdown button. It's happen a number of times, infact, rather regularly, so I'm sure its not cause by clicking the wrong button.

  Since it happens to other sets of keyboards and mice, it's your motherboard problem. I assume that your PSU has enough power to run it.
  
  The second problem, not too sure. The only times I've encountered such problems when the PC is facing drivers issues. It sometimes trigger the wrong stuffs.
  
  Do you have any blue screen of deaths lately? Installed any new drivers?

  I didn't have the problem until recently. And it happened suddenly.
  
  And no, I've not had any BSODs. Did not install or change anything when the problem occured. Actually I had the restart problem months ago, but after leaving it without doing anything for a while, the problem disappeared. Now it's back.
  
  And it happened with the mouse/keyboard problem, so I thought maybe they are related?

  Well, I'm not so sure if they are related at all. Assuming that they are, you have to change your motherboard and reinstall Windows (because motherboard changes, MS needs to re-verify). You need to call up MS and tell them that you've changed your motherboard. They will validate the Windows for you.
  
  Once that is done, observe for a few days...

  if u can press' del' when pc start and enter the bios ,ur hardware is ok.
  there must some thing wrong with ur windows,just reinstall windows .
  if dont have the windows copy ,contact me on msn.

  try reinstall the drivers... still cannot work replace the port or change to usb...

  Yes. You could try this method first.
