  is the difference between 1x256+1x1gb and 4x256 alot? cos the dual channel seems to be getting very "deep".
  
  btw, i just read a whitepaper that says it is possible to "plug in matching 256Mb dimms in both dimm 0 slots, and plug in matching 512mb dimms in both dimm 1 slots". so i guess 2x256 + 2x512 (all 166mhz) may work also.
