laptop battery

  who using laptop here?
  
  read on the net: some say must fully drain battery before recharging, then some say cannot fully drain the battery. me blur.
  
  any tips on what is the correct way to preserve laptop Li-ion battery's life?

  best is you use the batt till it says batterylow then u use ac adapter to charge it while using or you switch off your laptop till it charges fully (dunno how true but it is said to lengthen your batt life)

  if i dont use the battery but the adapter instead will the battery life decrease and will smth happen to the laptop? cos i usually dont bring my battery to sch

  no, nothing will happen to your laptop, if u dont use batt and leave it unattached to ur laptop
  if it's attached then the life span will decreas.

  laptop battery these days pretty advance liaw.

  the battery is designed to stand about 500 recharges.
  
  to prolong the battery life, try not to drain it too fast (play games etc). dont overcharge it. close the power/ remove battery when it is fully charge.
  
  try to charge it full, not halfway. better to charge when the laptop is switched off.
  
  its ok to charge a half filled battery
  
  battery cost $200 le.. take care of it

  Erm if u want to recharge the battery then dont remove.
  If the battery is fully charged then remove.

  No point..the battery life you can save are minimal for the life of the laptop.

  FOR DELL the laptop battery life cycle is 300 charge/discharge.
  read the manual while free time.
  for Acer the lap top battery life cycle is 300 for old one new one 400
  Hp same
  
  asus
  Sony
  toshiba
  unknown guess about 300 to 500 only.

  dunno...lenovo (thinkpad series)very smart one..stops charging when battery full..

  comcrap isnt getting bad. it stop charging when its full too.

  my laptop battery died. Any tips on how to get it replaced? ie. should I go to the Fujitsu service centre and ask them for a new one? or should I take a walk around Sim Lim?

  if still under warranty..just ask for exchange lor...
  not under warranty...go ard simlim ask lor...beware of chiong ones
