  heh...actually i am asking a question which is quite simple...
  but i dunno how to do
  
  
  
  anyway
  
  i want my textbox to appear :
  Name : ABC
  NRIC : 123
  
  but i been getting :
  Name: ABC NRIC:123
  
  heres my code

  vbCrLf - the L is capital letter. Although Microsoft's own IDE will change it, if you write in text editor, please change it yourself. Programming codes are case sensitive.
  
  You forgotten the "&" before "_"
  
  Highlighted it for you to see.
  
  And please, no spaces in front if you don't want your text to look like this:

  The underscores are the spacing seen.

  i still got a few questions
  
  - what is the "line" for dropdown list/ combo box (e.g textbox ends with xxx.text)
  
  - if i have
  
  text1.text in tab 1
  and
  text2.text in tab 2
  
  how do i make it go to tab 2 if i am at the first tab
  
  text2.text Focus

  1. If using Visual Studio, look at the side bar. There's a drop-down box to be dragged to the Form.
  
  Codes wise, will be:
  
  cmbItems.Items.Add("xxx.Text")

  i am doing my assignment on a salary form.. stuck with
  
  - i have a drop down list that states "Single" or "Married" now... those who are married + $500 to their salary so... how do i do the configuration?
  
  e.g: text1.text = Val(Normal.text) + Val("marital status")
  
  - when i click the "Submit" button ... my NRIC is on the 1st tab whereas my salary is on the 2nd tab ..so how do i make the button switch to the 2nd tab

  1st one I can help. Second one I don't know.
  
  Use If Then Else
  
  Assuming that the drop-down box name is ComboBox, has 2 items single and married:
  
  ComboBox.SelectedItem = "Single"
  Then MsgBox("Your salary has not been increased.")
  Else
  MsgBox("$500 has been added to your salary.")
  
  When they select either value, a popup will appear, telling them whether their salary has been changed. For singles, no change. For married couples, it will popup telling that it has been changed.
  
  You can edit it to add names.
  
  For example,
  
  Dim name As String
  name = textbox.Text
  ComboBox.SelectedItem = "Single"
  Then MsgBox("Dear " + textbox.Text + ", " + " Your salary has not been increased.")
  Else
  MsgBox("Dear " + textbox.Text + ", " + " $500 has been added to your salary.")
  
  This will produce a popup saying "Dear (name), your salary has not been increased or Dear (name), $500 has been added to your salary."

  Note the spacing in the codes. If you don't, your message will look awkward.
