Cannot download files, IE7 will say not responding

  using IE7 with all the updates provided by microsoft
  when i click on download links, it just hangs there say "Internet Explorer is not responding. Windows is searching for a solution to the problem"
  then after that it restarts IE7 (meaning close the old one and open a new one with a blank page)
  everytime also like that
  how ar? vista btw
  i can use other browser to download though

  erm, my friend had the same problem, bo bian, try firefox.

  IE7 should work fine with Vista, because it's meant for Vista.
  
  If it doesn't work, wait for Microsoft to ship in SP1 to see if it helps.
  
  Also, are you using any download managers?

  ya got.. using gigaget, although not in the list of reviewed download managers, seems safe
  before i install this oso got the problem le, was using leechget, found it too mafan, then switch to gigaget
  
  and i know i can download using other browsers, only thing is all my frens' blogs look weird on firefox and opera

  Can you try disabling the download manager when downloading with IE? Some download managers don't work well with IE7. In particular, since you are using Vista, there might be incompatibility issues.
