Graphics lag or CPU lag?

Hello guys . May i know whats the difference between Graphics lag and CPU (processor) lag ? Sometimes i play CoH the system lags like shyt . Lags horribly , is that graphics lag?

when you play COH, do u use msn/ other applications or people msn you?
What's your Operating system?
Ram?
Graphics memory? -

Using an Acer Aspire T160 .
Processor using AMD Athlon 64 +3800 (not sure about clock speed)
Ram using a 1Gb Ram from Kingston . (Speed should be 667)
Graphics Nvidia Geforce 7300GT PCI-e card at 256mb . -
Graphics lag - the graphics will be jerky.
CPU lag - reaction time is slow.
That's how you tell, generally. Sometimes, both will overlap, so it's not easy to tell. -

your Ram and graphics all look quite ok, Processor i not that sure, maybe is you play for too long le. -
antivirus could be scanning in background.

wat's the game video configation?high,middle or low?
and wat's resolution do u use in the game?1024*768 or 1280*1024
if u use high and 1280*1024 and it's lag,update ur video card.
i think ur cpu is enough for the game. -

Yup . Ram quite ok as well the graphics . But my Acer motherboard supports the Athlon 64x2 , so maybe to change to the dual core processor the next time .
Ram also maybe upgrade to 2Gb .
Too bad my com isn't compatible with Intel Core 2 Duo .

aero interface + flip 3d ect are all memory Scukers.
your ram might not be enuff to support with all these.
duo core is good enough, think prob is also vista and ram -

my cpu is amd sempron2600+ overclock 2.4Ghz,not lag palying this game -

Mine is currently low , and not lagging (but lags sometimes) . But high settings (where the game graphics performs best , which the game is well known for.) is another story. -
i forget what setting i used,last time i played this game is in 2006 .
i think if u can run the game smoohtly in low setting ,lag in high setting must caused by video card or lack of memery .
the cpu is mainly responsible for AI and physics-effects's calculating.
3D effects 's calculating is mainly on video card.
memery maily supply space for game texture files.
high settings need more memery and faster 3d card.
