Format laptop

  Do the shops at Sim Lim format laptops for a fee?
  
  My problem is that i formatted my laptop with a genuine copy of windows XP, but the serial cannot use already since I have used that copy to install to another laptop
  
  and m$ damn cute ask me to actually BUY a new serial for my lap top
  
  I've search high and low over the net for a working serial but to no avail
  
  Then I remembered that If i'm not mistaken, there are shops at Sim Lim that can install windows for u for a fee.....am i right?
  
  if yes, which shop and how much?
  
  if no, ......any other ways to resolve this? If i dont get a serial in 30 days, my comp will be locked as expected.
  
  I've tried to change to system clock, so that it would always be 30 days before my comp gets locked, but really , I don't want to be changing the system clock everyday, abit troublesome dont you think?

  i've installed ubuntu, but got a lot of driver issue, WLAN not working, cannot read thumbdrive etc
  
  so do any shops in SIM LIM format lap tops for a price anot??

  if U dun really need XP...U can consider using Windows 2000.

  WLAN doesn't really work well for Linux. And thumbdrives do work on Linux. External HDD do not. Either your copy of Linux is old, or you have done something wrong to the configuration.
