Ad Muncher

  Anyone know of any alternataives to Ad Muncher?

  Use a Hosts file instead to block out most ads.

  They are updated regularly, so subscribing to it is a good idea.
  
  Another one will be use a firewall. Some firewalls have ad-blocking capabilities. Kerio and R-Firewall are two.
  
  Kerio is a bit aggressive in my opinion; some sites don't work properly with Kerio ad-blocking feature on.

  sorry for hijacking.. but this is regarding ad muncher too. when i uninstall it, my msn lags (a few seconds delay after i press 'enter'). I think it's somehow related to admuncher because when i reinstalled it again, the problem was gone. Can someone help me? I dont really want that program on my comp anymore

  Can you try uninstalling it again?
  
  Also uninstall and reinstall MSN.

  talking about lag, my computer became very laggy after i installed directx 9c leh.

  See if there's any folders related to Ad Muncher. Delete that folder.

  If you want your PC to be in top notch condition, just install the necessary drivers that are needed for the motherboard and graphics card.
  
  The rest, don't need. They serve no other purpose than to waste resources.

  Unzip it and run Regsearch.exe

  Copy and paste the following in.
  
  First box: AdMuncher
  Second box: Ad Muncher
  
  Click OK to search
  
  Then post back the log file it creates... I see if can remove it from the registry for you.

  Make sure Ad Muncher is already uninstalled before you run this script.
  
  After uninstalling, restart the computer.
  
  Download this file: http://www.mediafire.com/?9gs2cdgv1nj
  
  Save it to your desktop or anywhere convenient, unzip it. Double click on fix.reg. It will prompt you to merge. Click Yes.
