Malware on blogs

  Hi,
  
  I'd like to highlight malware that I encounter on blogs, particularly friends' blogs.
  
  They seem to be infected by malware as reported on http://scansafe.blogspot.com/2007/04/scansafe-reports-up-to-80-percent-of.html
  
  How can I advise them to remove these malware and stop infecting others?

  If you know their email, email them. Also flag the blog and inform Google about it.

  However, upon informing them, the blog owners don't seem to know what the cause is, and therefore are not able to remove the malware. And they are using the usual blogger or xanga or wordpress.

  Most likely it's the advertisements. Free blogs will have advertisements. Tell them to inform the respective blog hosts.
  
  Wordpress report to Wordpress, Blogger report to Google, Xanga report to Xanga.
