Why is my mouse always non responsive

  is the laptop bootin up or resumin frm sleep?
  
  depend on how fast ur processor is or wat progs is runnin at the background,
  it could cos ur laptop nt respondin fast enuff to detect the mouse.
  
  or mayb u hav unplug the mouse earlier on, and plug it bac while the laptop is bootin up... it mayb the cause
