Problem about speaker/headphone

  Anyone have any idea on how to configure the computer such that the sound automatically comes out of the headphone instead of the speakers after plugging in the headphones? My friend has this problem, and she has to manually go to control panel > sound to set her default from Speakers to Headphones, while my default is 'Internal Speakers/Headphone thats why dont have to manually configure. Would appreciate it if anyone could help

  1. Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
  2. Select Volume tab. Under Speaker Settings, click on Advanced
  3. Try setting it to Stereo Headphones
  4. Click OK.
  5. Next, click on Audio tab
  6. Make sure that for all categories, the sound card chosen is the motherboard's built-in card. Unsure, check the laptop manual for what type of sound card is built-in
  7. Click OK all the way to save the changes, then try again
  
  If the laptop has a built-in Sound Manager, try configuring via there.
