I'm planning to get a notebook soon. My budget is around $1500. My eyes are set on the new Acer Aspire 4710-101G16 or the TravelMate3270. Any suggestions...

erm, if i were you, i would head down to funan digital life mall or simlim to check out the deals there.
when i was there, i saw tons of deals from HP (fr $1399 at Pa mart) and tons of cheap and good deals.

A shop worth to visit at Funan is Pamart -- Good Service and they give a 7 day 1 to 1 exchange + all the info you need. -

acer + extended warranty? Wouldn't it be cheaper?
Just need to bear the trouble of bringing ur laptop the repair everytime it spoils... -

i would have to defer, the $1399 Hp notebook i saw at PA mart has a 120Gb, with bluetooth, 1gb and vista business although it's abit bulky with a 15 inch clearview screen. -
