Ordinary cards - Check what type of slots is available on your motherboard. Don't know, find manual or go to the manufacturer's website to find out.
ATI CrossFire - motherboard must be at least CrossFire ready. The two graphics cards must also be at least CrossFire-ready.
nVidia SLi - same as ATI CrossFire.

does the number of openings on the connectors matters?
both these cards are 8x agp, but radeon 9700pro (top) has two while GF6200 (bottom) has only one... so can both be used on the same agp slot?

In short, yes. You can't just take any cards and slot in.

This is a nice website to compare the technical specs for the graphics cards on the market currently.

Me just bought a Asus EN8600GT from PC Themes for $206. But its not HDCP...
But its silent!
Planning to switch to Gigabyte or XFX instead.
Any comments/recommendations from Miss Mayi?
Thanks

If you ask me, I would keep to it. Specs and performance wise, it's not really that bad.
