Strange problem on wirless

  To all pros out there.. i have got a little problem recently, there is a sudden drop of my bandwith when my sister taps into the internet. i am using a wireless router and i am the closest to it however when i compare the bandwith from her pc (Next room) we are like heavens apart.

  She is using P2P or downloading files using download accelerators.
  
  And wireless will literally split your bandwidth into half.

  well if thats true, is there anyway that i can dedicate bandwith among users or to simply limit the usage of each user... i am using singnet 3mbs boardband

  you can just block her from using the internet

  That's the only one I know. If you have access to her PC, check if she has P2P programs. If she has, change the settings of the P2P programs so that it doesn't eat up all the bandwidth. P2P programs do this by default.
  
  As for download accelerators, you can do nothing to it, it can't be limited anyway.
