  convert pdf scanned books into text pdf
  
  i got many scanned books with text. But the problem is they are shown as images instead of text in the PDF. How do i convert them to text pdf? I heard got something can identify images that resembles text and convert them to pdf selectable text. And leave images and not so text looking stuff untouched. anyone can tell me how do i do that?
  
  got what software/add-on can do that? and no need to register or pay? can give me the link?

  For OCR, try A2E http://www.investintech.com/able2extract.html or Scansoft.
